Featuring locally-based
artists, Jerome Kavanagh Poutama, Salina Fisher and Neil MacLeod, "Ao"
formed in 2021 for the Pūoro Tū festival. For Classical on Cuba 2022,
they will be bringing music from their debut EP. Expect improvised
performances combining taonga pūoro (of Aotearoa), koto (of Japan),
violin, and modern music technology as these three musicians explore and
celebrate their ancestral connections.
